Elegantly finished with a small narrow foot, this is a low standing bowl which stands proudly yet discreetly, as if hovering the surface.
As part of the “Concept Bowl” series, each piece from this collection was made to be a work of art in its own right, as well as serving a purpose in the eyes of the beholder. In addition, the artist also has created these forms for the practice ikebana, a Japanese style flower arrangement with a minimal yet artistic expression.
Made with stoneware clay, finished to a high temperature in a jade green wood ash glaze.
Height: 6cm

Please note:
Due to the nature of raku firing, each piece is finished with unique markings – some of which and may include slight imperfections, runs with the glazes and minor irregularities which is part of style of the artist´s work and the ceramic processes each piece has undergone.
Whilst all the glaze materials are all perfectly natural and non toxic, this piece is strictly not considered a “food safe” piece of ceramic, due to the subtle crackling of the glaze.
